The 2015 Everest is based on the Ford Ranger from where it inherits the styling but with a more premium look both inside and out.
In terms of engines, the SUV will be offered with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter EcoBoost, along with a four-cylinder 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi and a beefier five-cylinder 3.2-liter Duratorq TDCi which has an upgraded exhaust gas recirculation system for increased efficiency.
It benefits from a generous 225mm ground clearance and 800mm water-wading capability while the towing capacity stands at 3,000 kg. Ford says it has a best-in-class 750 kg cargo payload (up to 100 kg roof payload) and a 29-degree approach angle and 25-degree departure angle
